RISK FACTOR-

· Having diabetes


· Losing weight very quickly


· Having liver disease


· Female gender


Complications of gallstones may include:


Inflammation of the gallbladder.


Blockage of the common bile duct.


Blockage of the pancreatic duct.


Gallbladder cancer.
DIAGNOSIS-

1. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
2. Test to create pictures of gallbladder
3. Tests to check your bile ducts for gallstones.
4. Blood tests to look for complications.


People with gallstones that does not cause symptoms will usually need no treatment.


Treatment options for gallstones include:


1. Surgery to remove the gallbladder


2. Medications to dissolve gallstones

You can reduce your risk of gallstones if you:


· Don't skip meals.


· Lose weight slowly.


· Maintain a healthy weight.
